The Foundation
The Crisp Regional Hospital Development Foundation is a vital part of the medical community in Crisp County and the surrounding areas we serve. Emerging in the 1980s, the Foundation worked with the community to make a new, modern hospital building a reality. Through hard work, the Foundation mobilized public support for construction of a new building and raised monies to provide equipment and furnishings.
In 2008, the Foundation Board identified the need for a capital campaign to raise funds for a new ICU expansion. The new 28,000-square-foot expansion contains a 16-bed ICU unit and waiting room, a consultation/meeting room, a new Medical Records department, and a physicians' work area. In addition, the expansion allowed for existing areas to be converted into additional space for other hospital departments. This latest expansion is only one example of CRHS' commitment in providing the most up-to-date equipment and technology for our patients and staff.
The Crisp Regional Hospital Development Foundation is a very vital part of the medical community in Cordele. The Foundation was developed to provide medical scholarships, support the CRH Hospice program, improve access to primary healthcare in rural areas, and purchase needed hospital equipment. It has served as a key vehicle in accomplishing these tasks.
Over the years, the CRH Development Foundation has supported more than 15 medical students, with four students presently in medical school and residency programs.
Throughout the year, the Foundation hosts several events, including the annual Golf Tournament and Sponsor Appreciation Evening. Tax-deductible donations from businesses and individuals help us meet our fundraising goals.

Gifts to the Crisp Regional Hospital Development Foundation are used to purchase new equipment, add new services, provide medical scholarships, support Crisp Regional Hospice, improve access to primary healthcare in rural areas, and much more! The Foundation's Board of Directors determines how to best use funds to benefit the entire organization and community.
The Board of Directors is comprised of members of the local community who understand the importance of healthcare. These individuals are dedicated to making the Crisp Regional Hospital Development Foundation a successful organization.
The Crisp Regional Hospital Development Foundation created the "30-Minute Club" to give employees the opportunity to set aside part of their paycheck to support the Foundation. Special thanks to members of the "30-Minute Club" for their generous donation.
