Dialysis Center

In May of 2002, Crisp Regional Dialysis opened a new facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology and the capability to serve more patients than ever before. By offering a larger, more modern facility, Crisp Regional Dialysis is able to provide a service that people have had to travel out of town to receive.

The facility is equipped with a high-tech water treatment system as well as computer-driven dialyzing machines. The computerized system affords the opportunity to improve efficiency, which increases the number of patients able to be dialyzed daily.

Crisp Regional Dialysis is open six days a week with two different rotation schedules, one running Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and the other running Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The average time for the dialysis process is approximately three to four hours. Dialysis patients are monitored by physicians, skilled nurses, and dieticians.

In 2001, Crisp Regional Dialysis Center was ranked second in an Amerinet survey of patient hemoglobin levels at 20 hospital-based dialysis centers.
