Hospital Services

At Crisp Regional Hospital, we provide our patients with the latest advances in medical technology, state-of-the-art imaging services, non-invasive cardio diagnostic services, and rehabilitative services including occupational, physical, speech, and respiratory therapies. Our main hospital facility offers 73 licensed patient beds, 61 private patient rooms, 16 intensive care rooms, 8 birthing rooms, and 7 outpatient surgery rooms, all housed in 102,000 sq. ft. on 11 beautiful acres.

Crisp Regional Hospital utilizes state-of-the-art technology to provide the best possible results to our patients. With the introduction of a new picture archiving and communication system (PACS), testing results are now available for physicians to view immediately from any location.

In addition to making diagnosis and treatment planning much simpler for physicians, PACS provides benefits for patients. Increased clarity of images means less repeat testing and reduced patient exposure to radiation in repeat scans. PACS also eliminates any need for patients to transport films to and from their physician's office. Medical Imaging is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for the care and convenience of the community.

  • MRI/MRA (magnetic resonance imaging/magnetic resonance angiography): Our new MRI/MRA equipment offers a larger bore opening and faster scan time, making it more comfortable for patients while providing better image quality than open bore magnets. The equipment is situated in a large, spacious scan room with windows to comfort patients with claustrophobia.
  • Bone Densitometry: DEXA (Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) is a low-dose radiation exam that detects bone loss by measuring bone mineral density.
  • CT (computerized axial scanning): CT imaging utilizes the latest 64-slice technology, providing capabilities in CT angiography, including cardiac and computed tomography angiograms, lower extremity runoff, and clots (pulmonary embolus) to the lungs. CT is used in the diagnosis of stroke, lesions, and masses, and is extremely helpful in trauma cases due to speed and excellent detail.
  • PET/CT Imaging: PET/CT is the gold standard for diagnosing and determining a treatment plan (staging) for cancer. It provides very detailed information regarding the spread, location, size, and nature of cancer in the entire body, detecting sites of cancer not seen by other imaging modalities. It has the ability to differentiate scar tissue from tumors, as well as benign from malignant lesions. It also produces images showing metabolism or biochemical changes. Together, PET and CT reveal a complete picture – providing both anatomic and metabolic information at one time, in stunning detail, to help physicians correctly and completely diagnose and localize cancer.
  • Additional imaging services include ultrasonography (including cardiac, vascular, obstetric and abdominal scanning), computed radiography (for conventional imaging), and the latest in digital mammography with CAD (computerized assisted diagnosis). Mammogram results are provided before the patient is dismissed from the procedure.
